Sperm donor passes on rare disease to 5 kids

A Michigan sperm donor has passed a rare and serious genetic disease called neutropenia to five children born to four couples. These children, as a result, are highly vulnerable to infections and prone to leukemia.

The disease is very rare, affecting only about one in five million children. Without treatment, many die in childhood. >>
